In Your Wake 03:16
In your wake, do you know that I will follow? In your wake, do you know that I'll be there And I will walk your streets, and let you inspire me And let your street lights point me home In your wake, do you know what you have made me? With every friend, that I've lost along the way And I will walk your streets and let your light shine down on me And let your street lights point me home And I will walk your streets and let you inspire me And let your street lights point me home tonight

I fell alive, like I'm in front of it In a dream last night I tried to run from it In the middle of a heartbreak, I ain't nothing left here for you to take Take your time, hurry up Choice is yours, you know you won't be late How many times before a heart breaks? How many times must I wait for you? I feel alive, but just a little bit I never quite fit in, I'm just a misfit In the middle of a heartbreak, i ain't nothing left here for you to take Wait up right now I swear that I can see your face Wait up, wait up I swear this is my last mistake And I'm holding onto all your beautiful ways To let me down, Ya I'm holding onto

Get To Me 04:49
Welcome to my life she said, god bless this alcohol Another shot of whiskey down, can't feel the pain anymore Picking up the phone but I can't bring myself to call I need to hear your voice so I can't make some sense of it all Now your gone, without a trace Looking back with a smile on your face Can't believe that this could be the end of it all I need you to get to me I don't need to live like this All these empty [pages again I don't think you'd understand why I had to leave I don't need to live like this Looking through these pages again I don't think you'd understand why I need you to get to me I still hear you cry at night when walking by your door I wish I could come in and hold you like I did before I still can't believe that your gone without a trace Looking back with a smile on your face Can't believe that this could be the end of it all Need you to help me now All my dreams are running away Need you to tell me now Everything will be ok

Lindsay's a girl I knew back in high school She always dreamed of her face on a magazine She had a smile that could light up the world She was a beautiful American girl This is the story of London & Lindsay just finding their way Sing me a song, in a hotel room about a barmaid who used to smile Bring me a long girl you're driving me crazy Singing along, to every other word man Old Chicago's on fire Bring me along girl somebody save me All I ask London's a girl i knew back in college She had two black X's on the back of her hand She swore that she needed no man Because she's married to a rock n' roll band This is the story of London & Lindsay just finding their way And if you leave don't leave me on my own London screams at Lindsay I can't make it here on my own Because her mother died and left her there all alone Please don't leave me here on my own

Barricade 04:20
Have you heard the news The lights are going out on the west side Now that you're not here And you think she's here tonight you're all I'm thinking about Those summer nights on the midway, trying to get through to you Now the drugs don't work but tonight all I'm thinking is How will I know if we're gonna make it out All I know is you can't be lonely now Trying to get where we want to be I'm no my way tonight You crash my heart like a renegade Cut through my walls with your switch blade And all my life, I want to be there by your side I'm like a car speeding fast on a motorway That comes crashing through your barricade And all my life, I want to be there by your side Have you heard the news, there's no emotion coming out of my stereo Now that you're not around And you think he's here tonight, you're all I'm thinking about I've spent too much time on the radio Trying to get through to you Now the drugs don't work but tonight all I'm thinking us How will I know if we're gonna make it out All I know is you can't be lonely now We're trying to get where we want to be I'm on my way tonight

I think we got an emergency right now For the sake of my heart let me go I think we're losing the urgency right now Hold on here we go You must have fallen back down, ya it's a long way You must have fallen back down, and got blown away You fell down, you had already drown Maybe it's better this way And when the lights go down, you got lost in the sound Maybe it's better this way I think it's time for some honesty right now There's something you gotta know I think I need an apology I'm tired of singing a eulogy right now Hold on here we go And I don't know what I'm fighting for Won't you sing along right now All the lives we beg and borrow All the wrongs we will right tomorrow Sing along right now If you think you heard me right Hold'em up and start a fire Won't you sing along right now C'mon and sing it to me C'mon and help me won't you sing along right now You got lost in the sound Sing along right now All the nights we beg and borrow All the wrongs we'll right tomorrow Sing along right now For all the ones that spent their youth With and old guitar and a bottle of truth Sing along right now

Closer than you thought it would be Chasing a moment, trying to figure out just who to be Living on the edge of a dream Chase it forever, never get to find out what it means Where did all the good times go? Back when you would save my soul They're blowing away And I will be right there by you Closer to the end tonight Embracing a moment Caught between the darkness and the light Holding on the edge of dear life Just hoping that you'll hear my prayer And come and throw me a line I tired of wishing time away It's not fair to those who live their lives embracing every day But I will be right there by you And you want to say, that I'm never good enough But I don't believe a word you say And you're gonna find that leaving now It just might be your best mistake I believe in time And I'm leaving today Chasing the light I know it's going to be one of those days I know I'm gonna be chasing the light

about

The opening track “In Your Wake” is a gospel inspired tribute to the town that made them. Jeff sings “I will walk your streets, and let you inspire me” and inspire it does. The song builds to a crescendo of pounding drums and launches into…

The lead off single “The Sound” is a huge, stadium sized anthem with a massive sing along chorus. The song is about equality, and unification. “turn it up when the world keeps turning us down” sings lead vocalist Jeff Gutteridge , it’s a call to arms to those who society tries to turn down or push aside. Its about love being “louder than the bombs they’re dropping” and coming together as “one love”.

Next up we have “How Many Times” a 70’s inspired rock song about waiting for someone to “take their time, and hurry up” Probably one of the most adventurous songs on the album and one that is sure to become a staple in the live show for years to come.

“Get To Me” sees the band get a little country. The song is about two people who need to be apart, but one party longs for the good times of days gone by. Jeff says “It was written to be a duet, but we decided to save that idea for another song”.

“London & Lindsay” is a full out rocker that tells the story of two women London…and Lindsay and their struggles. The song is meant to tell Jeff’s story, he explains “ I grew up in Lindsay and wanted to be famous, then I went to College in London and started taking music very seriously, I used the city names as the character names to sort of creatively tell my own story”

“Barricade” , the newest song on the album, is where the band felt the duet card was best played. Enlisting the help of fellow Lindsay Singer Cassie Noble, Jeff tells the story of two people wanting to be in love but feeling the other person is likely seeing someone else and isn’t interested. For this one, the band opted for a stripped down , acoustic presentation allowing the lyrics and vocal performances of Jeff and Cassie to highlight the track.

The oldest song on the album, “You Fell Down” blasts it’s way into your ears with a rousing “Whoa oh oh” sing along and is easily the albums most “pop punk” song taking influence from bands like Paramore and Mayday Parade. It’s a song built for the stage with singalong vocals and a clap along middle section. Originally written and partially recorded in 2011 this song was almost lost until earlier this year when Jeff was scouring an old hard drive and found the drum tracks! The band quickly convened to finish it off.

Closing out the album is the epic ballad “Chasing Light”. The Drums were recorded in 2015 with Barry Haggarty, the bands original producer, Chasing Light is a British Pop style ballad that sees Jeff wrap his pensive lyrics “I’m tired of wishing time away, it’s not fair to those who live their lives embracing everyday” , around Jay’s beautiful bass work and Randy’s soaring lead hooks. The track fades away to the sound of a distant thunderstorm and a man asking for his lord “to come home tonight”. It’s both mournful and hopeful all at the same time, “lighters up in the pouring rain” describes Jeff.
